Fearing's Restaurant will host a special chef's dinner featuring chef Jonathan Waxman, Bravo TV regular and chef/owner of Barbuto, the Italian-inspired bistro in Manhattan's West Village. Waxman was a pioneer of California cuisine, with its early focus on simple, fresh, seasonal ingredients. He has brought his talents to Chez Panisse in Berkeley and Michael's in Los Angeles, as well as to New York, where he opened the famed Washington Park and Jams. Waxman participated in two seasons of Top Chef Masters on Bravo TV, and has published two cookbooks, A Great American Cook (2007) and Italian My Way (2011).
The dinner will include lobster pizza with new potatoes, Dungeness crab pasta with uni, New York steak with Swiss chard, and blood orange panna cotta with ugly cookies. The dinner is $155. For reservations, call 214-922-4848.
