Just Say YES – Youth Equipped to Succeed, an educational nonprofit providing nationwide high-impact student assemblies and peer-to-peer mentoring programs in Dallas-Fort Worth area high schools, will present Jenna Bush Hager, NBC News TODAY show contributing correspondent and The New York Times best-selling author, as this year’s keynote speaker for the organization’s largest annual fundraising event.
Former Dallas Police Chief David Brown (and last year’s Celebration keynote speaker), is serving as Honorary Chair for the 8th Annual Celebration.
Hager is a contributing correspondent on NBC News’ TODAY show and is an editor-at-large for Southern Living magazine. She is also the author of The New York Times best seller, Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope, co-author of the children’s books, Read All About It!, and, Our Great Big Backyard, and most recently co-authored The New York Times best seller, Sisters First. Hager is the daughter of former U.S. President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. In 2008, she married Henry Hager, and they are the proud parents of their two daughters, Margaret Laura “Mila” and Poppy Louise Hager.
This year’s Celebration theme, “Tell Your Story,” reflects the organization’s ultimate goal of providing a hopeful future to students of all ages, regardless of their background or circumstances. The proceeds from the spring fundraiser will support the Just Say YES mission of equipping today’s youth through high-impact student assemblies, peer-to-peer mentoring programs, educator trainings and parent programs.
