KIPP Dallas-Fort Worth's second annual Are You Smarter than a KIPPster? fundraising event is designed around the quiz bowl-style game made popular by the TV show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? The event features an education-based trivia game of “Are You Smarter than a KIPPster?” where KIPP DFW middle schoolers will compete head-to-head with local and regional Dallas “celebrities,” including DJ Lucy Wrubel, Clay Jenkins, Florence Shapiro, Pastor Bryan Carter and others in a battle of wits.
