Kirk Hopper Fine Art will present a new two person exhibition featuring works by Canadian artist Frank Rodick in the main gallery and photographs by Houston based artist Jay Rusovich in the noted space.
Rodick's art—work that integrates traditional photography, alternative darkroom techniques, video, and digital imaging— is often coined by critics as complex, unsettling, and unique among his contemporaries. Altering images into sequenced compositions that explore the complex human psyche, Rodick creates powerful, evocative and sometimes controversial pieces. Rusovich is known for his conceptual style, which can be described as intuitive, engaging quick-witted and often times tinged with irony.
Following the opening reception, the exhibition will be on display through April 12.
