Kitchen Dog Theater kicks off its 30th season of theater with a weekly series of singular events called Get Up, Stand Up! A Drive-In Celebration of Democracy.

Get Up, Stand Up! is a series of unique, one-time events featuring a variety of local artists performing protest songs from throughout history. From “The Star-Spangled Banner” to “This Land is Our Land” to “Alright,” America has a storied legacy of the protest/freedom song. As our nation ramps up for another election cycle, Kitchen Dog seeks to celebrate democracy as well as amplify the voices of our local artist community who have recently struggled to be heard during the pandemic, with traditional venues closed for the unforeseeable future.

Patrons will park in a designated parking spot and tune into the show's audio via their car stereos, as the live, socially distanced show happens on a raised stage in the parking lot. Parking spots are limited to 35 spaces and tickets must be reserved in advance. If patron is in a truck, van, SUV, or tall car, they will be asked to park in the back row for visibility purposes.

These outdoor drive-in performances are designed to be safe, socially distanced events. Patrons are asked to stay in their vehicles and masks are required if patron needs to leave vehicle for any reason.

A "Vote Dawg" pass ($99-$299) will get tickets to each of the four performances in the Get Up, Stand Up! series. Performer lineups will be different for each individual performance and are always subject to change.
