Playwrights Under Progress (PUP) Fest is a unique project co-produced by Kitchen Dog Theater, Junior Players and Dallas ISD - Playwriting Arts Community (D-PAC). As part of the New Works Festival, PUP Fest features an afternoon of six world premiere staged readings written and performed by some of the Metroplex's finest high school talent and developed through playwriting workshops.

PUP Fest will feature the following works:

• Chained​ - written by Jonathan Gomez and Champion Johnson, Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, Juniors
• Hoodwinked - written by Carlos Pleitez, Samuell HS, Senior
• The Waffle House Index - written by Nash Farmer, Booker T Washington HSPVA, Senior
