Klyde Warren Park presents Great North American Eclipse

eventdetail

On April 8, 2024, Dallas will be the largest city in the path of totality for the Great North American Eclipse. The moon will blot out the entire sun for a total solar eclipse and, for a few minutes, it will look and feel like twilight. Dallas is ideally situated halfway between the western edge and the centerline of the eclipse path, making Klyde Warren Park a perfect spot to experience this rare phenomenon.

Programming presented by the Perot Museum of Nature and Science will include a panel discussion with astronomers from the Carnegie Institution for Science, the interactive TECH Truck and complimentary eclipse-viewing glasses. Live music from Central Standard Band and other family-friendly activities will be available.

Park favorites Mi Cocina, La Parada, and The Salty will be open, plus several food truck options including Andy’s Frozen Custard, Bruno’s Italian Ice, Cone Creamery, Egg Stand, Eloisa’s Kitchen, Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs, Greek Lover, Halal Mother Truckers, Mi Cocina, Mint’s Kitchen, Patrick Pops, Serious Salads, Sip’n, The Butcher’s Son, The Fruit Bowl, What’s the Flava!, & Yummy Pizza.
