Le Diner en Blanc, the popular picnic-style Parisian dinner party characterized by its famous monochromatic color scheme, returns to Dallas. The elegant white wave of dinner guests will invade one of the most prestigious public locations of the city. This year more than 2,200 guests will be whisked off to a new and secret location.
On the evening of the event, guests will make their way to the assigned departure point where they will meet a Diner en Blanc volunteer and board busses to be transported to the secret location somewhere in the Metroplex. All guests will arrive within minutes of each other and begin setting up their dining space with their table, chairs, linens, flowers, and tableware.
Once all guests are seated, the table hosts will signal for everyone to lift their Southwest Airlines souvenir white napkins in the air, marking the official start to Diner en Blanc around the globe. Guests are then welcome to enjoy the picnic meal they’ve either prepared or purchased from the new official caterer, Food Glorious Food, while performers from Bravo entertain and elegant music fills the outdoor space.
After dinner, the table hosts will announce the opening of the dance floor. Guests will then be invited to dance the night away. The dancing will conclude with a fireworks show by Pyrotex. At the end of the evening, guests will pack up all of their belongings, pick up all their litter, and head back into the night, leaving behind no sign of their elegant experience.
