Swimmer Lenny Krayzelburg, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, has set world and Olympic records, was voted one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People,” and has started a learn-to-swim program. The Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy (LKSA) will open its 12th academy in the nation in Dallas at the Aaron Family Jewish Community Center in Dallas.
Krayzelburg will be on hand for a meet-and-greet on Sunday, March 9. There will also be free swim evaluations on all three days. The Meet & Greet is free and open to the community. Swim evaluations are free, but require RSVP to Daniel Taylor, Aquatics director, at 214-239-7141 to ensure space.
The LKSA is a unique and comprehensive, results driven, seven-level swim method that emphasizes water safety as a foundation and proper body position techniques as fundamental components of its learn-to-swim program. Academy training includes survival test curriculum where children are thrown into the water fully clothed and must react to the situation and exemplify appropriate skills to save themselves. LKSA truly puts its teaching to the test while providing the parent, child and instructor with confidence that the child knows what to do in a real-life situation. The teaching curriculum is structured in a detailed progression where it builds on learning one skill before moving onto another, using its SwimRight© method.
