The Liliana Bloch Gallery will present Ann Glazer: Packable, an ultra-light, compressible show that questions the constraints of weight and space in an increasingly mobile society.

In this exhibition, Glazer explores painting in a culture that is no longer rooted. By replacing the painter's canvas with a material as light and compact as a magician's silk scarf, she expands the role of the painter as an illusionist. In Packable any appearance of weight and mass is pretense, for the entire exhibition can vanish into a small carry on.

The exhibit will be on display May 20 through June 20.
