Liliana Bloch Gallery presents an exhibition featuring the work of Bret Slater, featuring his latest exploration in the physicality of small-scale paintings, while also incorporating a dynamic shift in both scale and technique for the artist. This new approach evokes the extensive fields of color of post-painterly abstraction.
Slater lives and works in New York, New York. He received a B.F.A. from the School of Art + Design at Purchase College, SUNY, Purchase, NY (2009), and an M.F.A. from the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU, Dallas, TX (2011). He received the “Rising Star in Art” award by the Fashion Group International, Dallas, TX and his work has been acquired by the Dallas Museum of Art as well as the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through February 10.
