On the anniversary of January 6th, artist, journalist, and freelance photographer Danny Hurley presents “SiGNS OF OUR TIMES,” a photography exhibition featuring 20 years of peaceful social protests on the streets of Dallas. The exhibition documents our freedom: of speech, of the press; the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The show is a collection of 20 years of protest rally photographs taken in Dallas. Photographs of homemade posters and their protestors are the focus of the show. Subjects range from women's rights to Black Lives Matter, the Second Amendment, drag queens, and more.
The exhibition will be in the Lillian Bradshaw Gallery on the fourth floor of J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. Opening day takes place from 12-4 pm, and exhibition will remain on display through February 29.
