Little D Markets is partnering with Alta West Commerce to launch Dallas’ first monthly night market at their pavilion. Commerce Street Night Market will feature a curated vendor marketplace, live music, workshops, and art installations on the last Friday of each month.
All sponsorship and vendor fees will be put towards the artists’ time and materials, making the night market a tool for artists themselves to advance the already active creative community in West Dallas. Participants will also be invited to host pop-up classes and workshops during the market. On June 24, John Hernandez of CASA MASA will be hosting “Masa for the Masses: The Art of Making Tamales.”
June 24 will also mark the debut of Wheron’s site-specific installation in the pavilion. This West Dallas collective recently opened The Platform on Fabrication Street, and has conducted a series of murals around Dallas.
