ArthouseFW - Late Night celebrates the work of Joe Dante, one of Roger Corman’s most memorable collaborators and one who held tightly to Corman’s out-of-this-world sensibilities. Dante’s films bring fantasy and reality together in stories that are both human and monstrous, funny and terrifying, light and dark.

TV newscaster Karen White (Dee Wallace) brashly interjects herself in the middle of a search for a serial killer, but in the process finds something much more sinister in Dante's werewolf thriller, The Howling. Adapted by John Sayles for the screen from a novel by Gary Bradner, this continuation of Dante's interest in the sinister, self-reflexive and seedy is as amusing as it is disturbing.
