Music Director Eugene Migliaro Corporon and the Lone Star Wind Orchestra begins the 2019-2020 concert season with music inspired by gospel, spirituals and hymns.
The concert will commemorate the 400-year legacy of African Americans since the first Africans were brought to the shores August 20, 1619. The orchestra will perform music of Carlos Simon, Donald Grantham, Peter Graham, Luigi Zaninelli, and James M. David. The concert will also feature soprano Alfrelynn Roberts and actress Denise Lee.
