LuminArté Gallery will present Solar Explorations, a solo exhibit of Dallas-based artist, Alison Jardine, showcasing new works from 2013 which were partly completed during the artist’s residency in the Hambidge Center and forests of north Georgia. Solar Explorations looks upwards through the forests and records the often unobserved moments of sunlight and shadows as the sun lights up the earth. During creation of this work, the artist considers the idea of art as an act of worship, as the sun has been the center of worship for the earliest of human religions.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through February 8.
