As an award-winning anchor and correspondent, Vargas has traveled the world covering breaking news stories, reporting in-depth investigations, and conducting groundbreaking interviews. Currently the co-anchor of ABC’s 20/20 with David Muir, The New York Times has credited Vargas with reinvigorating the newsmagazine format with her “intellectually brave” reporting.
For over 30 years, The Magdalen House has helped more than 5,000 women recover from alcoholism regardless of their physical disabilities, religious affiliations, or ethnic backgrounds. Clients are accepted on a “first come, first served” basis, and the primary addiction must be alcohol. All of The Magdalen House programs are of no cost to the women served.
