Wanderlust Dance Project is sweeping through Dallas for a one-of-a-kind dance experience like no other. The North Texas-based non-profit is bringing together Dallas-Fort Worth's eclectic dance community for its second annual dance festival featuring the best dancers and choreographers in town, with a sprinkle of Julliard talent.
In the dance festival’s second year, the Project introduces a new and exciting opportunity for emerging choreographers involved. Wanderlust Dance Project’s “Emerging Choreographer” program, the brainchild of founder and former Texas Ballet Theatre dancer Addison Holmes, aims to give budding choreographers a chance to exhibit their dances onstage in a professional atmosphere. Attendees will see Booker T. Washington alumni Madison Hicks’ creation come to life as a part of the new series. One of four students accepted into Julliard’s prestigious dance program from the local performing arts school, the young choreographer’s works have won awards at Youth America Grand Prix and Juilliard’s Choreographic Honors Showcase.
