Martin Lawrence Galleries will present an exclusive exhibition of new paintings by François Fressinier. Combining collage, impasto, abstraction, and figurative painting, the artist creates a distinctive tactile quality that brings together traditional and contemporary elements.

Fressinier is an ardent admirer of the female face. To this French-born artist, it uniquely embodies and graciously expresses serenity, beauty and the entire spectrum of human emotion. And his latest works continue to pay homage to it, presenting that face as a reflection of his childhood influences.

Fressinier grew up with parents who collected posters of the artist Christine Rosamond. Her work has influenced his view of femininity and is reflected in the use of a subtle watercolor palette in his most recent oil painting, A Moment of Truth. Another of Fressinier's new paintings, Color Shift, combines oil and mixed media on canvas and hints at the artist's admiration for the spring-like freshness and simplicity of the feminine graces.

To attend the opening reception, RSVP at 972-546-2988.
