Maverick Dance Company presents Via Dance, a collection of progressive dance works directed by Amanda Jackson and Meredith Knight. The concert title is based on a perspective that through dance, we can communicate what is often challenging to put into words - that dance can simultaneously speak many languages and connect us on a visceral level. MDC offers thought-provoking and entertaining performances with dance styles ranging from post-modern, contemporary hip hop, musical theatre, and folklorico. the directors are joined by guest artist, Karla Canamar, guest faculty, Whitney Coleman, and seven student choreographers.
