I Am a Teacher tells the story of Ben James, who teaches history with a fierce passion and a great love for learning. The full play, told in three parts, covers 40 years in the life of an American teacher. The arc of the trilogy reflects four decades of American educational issues, and by extension decades of cultural issues as well. The play is based on the teaching experience of its author, David Marquis.

The run will feature parts 1, 2 and 3 on separate nights October 16-18, and then all three parts on the same day on October 19 and 20.
