The Metrocare Auxiliary, a group of 145 volunteers, will host the Meal for the Minds 2014 Luncheon, which includes the 7th annual Edible Auction featuring cakes from Dallas’ top pastry chefs. The luncheon also features a 5th annual art sale of work by Art Focus XC, an elite group of juried Dallas artists.

Guest speaker, Dr. Lisa Genova, New York Times bestselling author and neuroscientist, invites us into the world of autism through the thoughts of a young boy, Anthony whom we meet in her remarkable book Love Anthony. Dr. Genova graduated valedictorian from Bates College with a degree in Biopsychology and has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard University.
