Museum of Geometric and MADI Art will present two new exhibitions: Hernan Jara: "Exposition in Blue" and Ricardo Paniagua: "Art in Three Dimensions."
Jara was born in Quito, Ecuador in 1936 and received Architecture and Urban Design degrees in France, where he currently lives and works. His geometric paintings focus on varying interpretations of the square.
Panigua's works demonstrate the clear impact of his background as the descendent of generations of master tile artisans. The extreme precision of his geometric sculptures, tondos, and wall sculptures, as well as the psychedelic colors of many of his works, speak to the artist’s meticulous consideration.
Following the opening day, the exhibits will be on view through February 21.
