The Nature Conservancy in Texas will present its annual Dallas Spring Party. This year’s event is entitled A Brush with Nature: Alex Beard’s Adventures in Art, Travel and Conservation.

This year’s annual fundraiser benefiting The Nature Conservancy in Texas will include a cocktail reception followed by a seated dinner, with mistress of ceremonies Laura Huffman, State Director of The Nature Conservancy in Texas. Jane and Pat Bolin, longtime Dallas supporters of The Nature Conservancy, will serve as honorary chairs, with special keynote speaker, Alex Beard. A painter and illustrator, adventurer, best-selling author, world traveler, filmmaker and animal conservationist, Beard will share his inspiring tales of conservation, travel and art. An original oil on canvas, Moonrise Over The Roosting Tree (48” x 60” unframed), created exclusively for the evening by Beard, will be up for bid during the evening’s silent auction.

Alex Beard has emerged as one of his generations most creative, prolific and accomplished artists. Born in New York City in 1970, Alex spent his childhood as a fly on the wall amidst the colorful conversations of his interesting family’s vibrant friends. Encouraged to think creatively from a young age by his uncle, Peter Beard, the acclaimed wildlife photographer and conservationist, and his mother, Patricia Beard, an accomplished author and magazine editor, Alex grew up among some of the world’s most fascinating personalities.
