The inaugural North Texas Film Festival will feature more than 20 curated films, with selections in categories pertaining to sports, family, date night, horror, Best of DIFF 2019 (popular films from the 2019 Dallas International Film Festival), veteran films, early access sneak peeks, shorts, and Oscar-contending films.

Notable films include opening night film The Laundromat, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Meryl Streep, Antonio Banderas, and Gary Oldman; Clemency, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and stars Alfre Woodard; Marriage Story, starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson; Dolemite is My Name starring Eddie Murphy; The Two Popes starring Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce; a retrospective screening of 1982's Poltergeist; and a 10th anniversary screening of The Blind Side and a 15th anniversary screening of Friday Night Lights on Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star in Frisco.
