Ochre House Theater will present the world premiere of Smile, Smile Again, an engrossing parable about the fullness of life. In the aftermath of World War I, a soldier is stuck in the mud, unable to escape the pitfalls of trench warfare. A madman, who finds the soldier, believes he has discovered a mythical soldier-plant, growing from the ground and requiring the care of a gardener. The ensuing poetic struggle features entrancing language, original music, and a bizarre, surreal landscape.
The performance on Monday, May 8 is "Donate what you can."
