Operation Kindness, North Texas’ original and largest no-kill animal care and adoption center, will present Dog Day Afternoon. The annual event is the largest festival in Dallas-Fort Worth celebrating dogs and the people who love them.
Event highlights include:
- “Mutt midway” with dozens of vendors selling a wide variety of pet-related merchandise and puppy kissing booth
- Canine contests with ribbons and prizes, including: Best Costume, Stupid Pet Tricks and Best Pooch Smooch
- Free microchipping for the first 125 dogs
- Free “Ask the Vet” tent
- Low-cost pet vaccines by Texas Coalition for Animal Protection
- Kona Ice
- Sweet tea and lemonade provided by Raising Cane’s
