Operation Underground Railroad presents Race to Stop Traffick
The Race to Stop Traffick will be presented by Operation Underground Railroad, a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue and rehabilitate children sold into sex slavery in the U.S. and around the world. There will be a 1-Mile Fun Run as well as an officially timed 5k race. Children 12 and under may participate in the 1-Mile Fun Run at no cost and free professional babysitting will be provided in the Kids Zone during the 5k for the children of race participants.
Participants, including families and kids, are welcome to take part in finish line festivities such as carnival games, face painting, live music, and a raffle booth. The course will begin at the Terrace business complex in the city of Westlake and continue along a winding course through lush greenery and some of the nicest homes in the Metroplex. Disposable timing chips will be provided by Chip-2-Chip Race Timing. T-shirts will be given to every participant and prizes awarded to the top finishers in each category.
All proceeds from this event will directly benefit Operation Underground Railroad.
