Mexican mezzo-soprano Elda Peralta joins the Orchestra of New Spain in the tonadilla Los Comicos de Mexico, and works from Peru, Guatemala and Mexico. A Tijuana native, following a successful career in Chicago, she brings a rich mezzo color to this fiesta concert. Orchestra soloists Anna Popova and Jendi Tarde join Ms. Peralta in this program of lively baroque music typical of the Americas: jácaras, seguidillas and more.
