This year brings a traditional Spanish/Mexican pageant known as "La Pastorela," a musical retelling of the shepherds’ journey to Bethlehem, with their colorful stories of local country folk. The dramatized and costumed telling will bring to life the Orchestra of New Spain's repertory of typical Spanish language Christmas villancicos (carols).
