Orchestra of New Spain presents La Pastorela

Stage director Jendi Tarde and Artistic Director Grover Wilkins, along with singers and musicians from the Orchestra of New Spain, present La Pastorela, a staged production depicting the Nativity story told through the eyes of Mexican villagers as they follow the star of Bethlehem. The dramatized and costumed telling brings to life repertory of Spain and the New World through moving 17th and 18th century villancicos, providing a unique Spanish language Christmas program of compelling music and characters.

Soloists include Jenny Ivanovna Morales, Erin Roth Thomas, Jendi Tarde, David Thompson and Will Derusha, along with violinist Thane Isaac in a featured role.
