Fabio Del Re's exquisite photographs from his Morandi series will be featured in this show. In 2012 there was an exhibition of the Italian artist Giorgio Morandi's paintings in Porto Alegre, which inspired the series. Del Re uses mostly analog methods to meticulously create still lives that pay homage to Morandi's skillful and transcendent paintings.
Del Re studied at the New England School of Photography in Boston in the late 1980s. His work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout Brazil. Recently, he was awarded a Fellowship with the FotoFest Biennial in Houston.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through December 31.
