Pegasus Contemporary Ballet will present their immersive season opener, The Perspective Project, with two unique pieces choreographed and conceptualized by Pegasus Contemporary Ballet’s resident choreographer and artistic associate, Carrie Ruth Trumbo, and Kevin Jenkins, guest choreographer and Artistic Director of Ballet Counterpointe.

The production will invite audiences to explore the topic of perspective and reassess their individual perceptions and biases. Two groundbreaking works will highlight how viewpoints, shaped by personal experiences and beliefs, can limit understanding and impact on daily interactions.

The program opens with Trumbo’s newest work, All Rise, an immersive experience that, depending on where audiences are physically standing, will create a one-of-a-kind portrayal of one family’s domestic life and its subsequent downfall, set to 1940s jazz and an original score by Kristopher Estes-Brown. Inspired by the uniqueness of the building itself, this work will utilize the space to the fullest, taking attendees on a tour throughout the historic space.

Given the format of the show, audiences will have the ability to see dance up close in a way that is intriguing and fun. Immediately following each performance, Pegasus Contemporary Ballet will host a post-show discussion with the artists about the theme of perspective.
