Pegasus Theatre will present a public reading of A Degree of Death!, a comedy murder-mystery by Kurt Kleinmann. This is the third entry in the reading series whose goal is to present all of the 16 currently-existing Harry Hunsacker "black and white" plays in the chronological order of the action depicted. The play will be presented in such a way as to focus on the script and story – no costumes, no makeup – just the actors and the text.

The year is 1935. Harry Hunsacker, would-be actor turned would-be detective, and his paid-by-the-hour assistant and friend Nigel Grouse head west. On the journey to Los Angeles, their bus breaks down in Rioville – a basically deserted town in Nevada that will soon be swallowed up by the waters when the Hoover Dam is completed. They find themselves smack in the middle of a mysterious disappearance, a lost treasure and a mad scientist’s evil plot to - naturally - take over the world!
