A night of hilarity and delight is in store for the Goofballs & Maypoles audiences. Presented by the New York Goofs, the Goofballs Cabaret production takes the idea of a smoky, dimly-lit French cabaret and turns it on its head with a unique blend of theatrical prowess and comedic charm. It is a unique chance to see the cutting edge of comedy, aerial artistry, magic, hula hooping, song and dance in an all-new, original and exuberant show.
Written and directed by Dick Monday, Goofballs & Maypoles brings to Dallas a very special guest, the incomparable comedic talents of Barry Lubin, who last performed in the Metroplex in 1978 when he toured with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®. Recently inducted into the International Clown Hall of Fame, Lubin is known as for spending a quarter of a century playing 'Grandma' with the Big Apple Circus. Most recently, he was featured in the PBS documentary Circus.
