RAFT (River Activation for the Trinity) is teaming up with the Texas Theater for a unique screening of Yakona, an award-winning film that paints a visual image of the history and myth behind the San Marcos River.
The movie will begin at 8 pm at the Santa Fe Trestle Trail Park, though attendees are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 to secure a good spot. The event is bring-your-own blanket, chair and dinner, though beer will be provided onsite.
Riding your bike to the event is encouraged, but not required. Group rides will be led from the Cedars by Bike Friendly Cedars and from Oak Cliff by Bike Friendly Oak Cliff. The DART Red & Blue Lines are also nearby at the 8th & Corinth Station. A short walk through Moore Park across 8th Street will take you to the event location.
Parking is available at Moore Park and down the gravel road (Santa Fe Ave.) that runs parallel to the train tracks.
