Red Arrow Contemporary will present Problem Child, recent work by Gary Sweeney.

Originally from California, Sweeney is known for incorporating compelling antidotes with a playful 1950s aesthetic of yesteryear to create subversive imagery and dialogue. With his sharp wit and humor, Sweeney is able to tap into relationships relating to the human condition while exploring boarder cultural issues. Sweeney’s fascination with deceptively humorous text propels his work with a literary force that tends to trap the viewer like fly in the ointment.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through October 18.
