Ro2 Art will present Felt Sense, a solo exhibition featuring new works by artist Nicole Havekost.
Havekost’s latest work invites a deep introspection of the body in an adventurous act of acceptance of its inevitable variations and divergences. Havekost describes our physical forms as organisms that cannot be fully controlled and wherever they oscillate on the spectrum from beautiful to grotesque, we can learn to fully accept them.
Using piercing, pulling, and stitching, Havekost builds and sculpts out her forms. Felt Sense is a curious and fearless embrace of the human body that approaches its vigor and decay without judgement.
The exhibition will open with an artist reception from 12-5 pm. Attendance to the reception will be limited to groups no larger than 10 over 20 minute intervals. The show will remain on display through November 28.
