Human Rights Initiative of North Texas will present Rock Your HeART Out, featuring art, live music, and stories of valor and perseverance.
The event pairs local artists and former Human Rights Initiative of North Texas clients to create art, with each piece a way of translating treacherous journeys that former clients have encountered into beacons of Hope. This artwork is auctioned off to benefit HRI.
The artist lineup includes Alisa Eykilis, April Hopkins, Christi Nielsen, Cristina Medina, Daniel Avazpour, Erica Stephens, Jessica Fuentes, Kimberly Alexander, Leticia Alaniz, Lorraine Tady, and Monika Bell.
The event will also feature a set of mini-documentaries that chronicle the process of the Artist+Client pair creating their artwork. There will also be music from Honey Creek and Jamal Mohamed Ensemble.
