Celebrate Oktoberfest (and Literacy Month) with the third annual Booktoberfest. The charitable event at Lakewood Brewing Company will include special brews, including this year’s debut of The Witch, a very limited seasonal spin on the popular Temptress Imperial Milk Stout.
Tours of the brewery will be offered, KB’s Brats and Rockstar Bakeshop will be on hand with German-inspired grub for purchase, the Dan Quinn Band will perform in the beer garden, and there will be a silent auction and raffle, games, toasts, and plenty of beer.
Proceeds from the event will help promote literacy with local children through Read-a-thon school programs in Dallas-Fort Worth, as well as provide much needed books for children in Asia and Africa.
