Root & Branch Revue is Downwinders at Risk’s multi-day floating conference for green activists, featuring two of the Flint, Michigan, women who blew the top off that town’s lead-contaminated drinking water scandal.

Events will include:

  • January 24, 7-9 pm: Film screening of Above All Else and discussion "When is Civil Disobedience Effective?" - Angelika Theater Dallas. Admission is free.
  • January 26, 7-9 pm: An evening with Flint activists and their Dallas-Fort Worth peers. Flint Comes to Dallas – Or Is It Already Here? Citizen Science and Environmental Justice - Mountain View College Performance Hall, East Campus Building. Admission is free.
  • January 28, 9:30 am-5:30 pm: One Day University of Change. A full day of skills and information workshops aimed at making you a better activist. Workshops include: Fighting Permits in Texas, Petitioning Rights, Basic Door-to-Door Outreach, High Tech Tools for Citizens and Health Survey Dos and Don’ts - E.H. Hereford University Center, The University of Texas at Arlington. Admission is $35 - space is limited.
