Rover Dramawerks will present the world premiere comedy, The Cupcake Conspiracy, by C.J. Ehrlich and Philip J. Kaplan.

Max (played by Gary Eoff) is a timid nebbish who sneaks out on a blind date behind his soon-to-be ex wife’s back. Due to a case of mistaken identity at the top of the Empire State Building, he finds himself up to his neck in a terrorist plot involving cupcakes. Really evil cupcakes.

His date with the sultry Natasha (Jessica Adame) should have gone to a mysterious man-of-a-thousand-identities (Robert San Juan), but instead it could be the most exciting night of Max’s life. All he has to do is foil Natasha’s plot, keep her henchmen (Matt Stepan and Dale G. Gutt) at bay, and most importantly, keep his wife (Kristi Smith) from finding out.

The Cupcake Conspiracy was selected by Rover Dramawerks as their inaugural New Play Contest winner from entries from all over the world.
