Sammons Center for the Arts presents Piano Roots: Chicago to Dallas

The fall season of Sammons Jazz opens with Artistic Director and Steinway Artist, Arlington Jones, signaling his musical roots with the music of jazz pianists, Ramsey Lewis and Scott Joplin. Jones was born in Lewis' hometown of Chicago and now lives in North Texas, near Joplin’s birthplace of Texarkana. Jones is joined in both sets by drummer Marcus Jones and bassist Anthony "AJ" Brown.
