The Sammons Center for the Arts celebrates 30 years of “growing the arts” in Dallas by hosting Celebrate Dance, a free open house featuring group dance classes and performances by local performing artists and groups.
The event kicks off with a salsa lesson by Luis Delgadillo, followed by lessons in African drum and dance by Bandan Koro, rumba by USA Dance, hip-hop by Geena Ngaaje, belly dance by Neenah Crocker, Texas Two-step with Mike McKinney and swing with Dallas Swing Dance Society.
For those who prefer to observe, the dance open house includes performances by the Indian Cultural Heritage Foundation, Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet, Beckles Dancing Company, Avant Chamber Ballet and Rhythmic Souls Tap Dancing.
