Samuel Lynne Galleries will present contemporary reflectionist artist Lea Fisher’s solo exhibition, titled "Reflections of an Artist’s Journey." This exhibition focuses on Fisher’s most favored Self-Portrait Series, where attendees can enjoy the largest display of her oil self-portraits to date.
Fisher will be releasing her first book during the exhibition, which is a reflective journey of self-love and growth amid dealing with troubling memories. The passage through these memories is illustrated by Fisher’s Self Portraits, and the mood and essence of each painting is meant to transport viewers across the inner state of the artist as she moves through joy, trauma, love, and self-awareness.
This chronicle is more than an artist book, but rather a serendipitous guide for those willing to question themselves in the midst of revering these reflective oil paintings. Fisher believes these artworks to have been a mirror to the inner self during the many phases of her life, and charges you to attend the exhibit with the same desire for a look within, knowing that no matter what is reflected, it is still worthy, unique, and totally personal.
The reflectionist 3-Dimensional Oil technique that Fisher combines with these notions create textures and shapes that are lively, exciting, and wildly layered. Fisher’s newest abstract series will also be on display, featuring a collection of new master works as well as geometric abstractions.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through June 10.
