Fair Park's free Music at the Band Shell concerts continue with the Spazmatics. Legend goes, in 1983, Kevin Stigwood, a physics teacher at Alta Dena High in Thousand Oaks, California, lost a debate to a student. As a result, Stigwood performed "She Blinded Me With Science" by Thomas Dolby at the state basketball championship game with a band he organized with his brother, Curtis, Sidney Baderman and Rusty A. Woosmeir. The Spazmatics were born. Hey, it's a good story.

Free parking is available at Gate 6 (MLK Gate or ride DART Green Line to Fair Park Station). Gates open at 6 pm. Concessions are available for purchase. Small coolers are okay but subject to search (no alcohol or glass please). A 3-5 minutes of fireworks help close the show.
