Teatro Dallas' 19th International Performance Festival will explore the themes of space and the body with a festival of performances.

Schedule of performances

  • January 25: Electric Hamsa - Award-winning dancer Alia Mohamed will present a live music spectacle as she merges contemporary and traditional middle eastern dance forms with a sci-fi, vanguard performance in a night celebrating Arab-futurism. Journey across time, space and wild soundscapes with this hybrid performance. The opening reception features Syrian delights provided by Break Bread, Break Borders.
  • February 1: Paper Piel is a multi-disciplinary experience created by dancer and choreographer Jimena Bermejo and in collaboration with musician Chris Brokaw. Paper Piel explores the cartography of the body and its relationship to paper, which is tied to the migration of information.
