Temporary Collectives is a collaborative exhibition features the work of 32 current graduate students from a consortium of North Texas universities: University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Christian University, and Texas A&M Commerce. This exhibition serves to strengthen dialogue and rapport within universities and the fine arts community in the North Texas area.
In conjunction with the Dallas Art Fair, a panel will discuss the nature of temporary collectives and the state of Master of Fine Arts programs in the metroplex. Led by Susanne Weaver on April 17 at the Nasher Sculpture Center at 1 pm, the panel will consist of five sponsoring faculty from the contributing universities: Josephine Durkin (A&M Commerce), Stephen Lapthisophon (UTD), Darryl Lauster (UTA), John Pomara (UTD), and Cam Schoepp (TCU).
