The Texas Association of Magicians will hold their annual conference. The purpose of the Association is to encourage the preservation, practice, development, performance, and appreciation of magic as an art. One of the largest magic gatherings in the states, the TAOM Convention attracts performers and attendees from around the world.
- September 1: Evening of Mystery & Fun - Christian Painter and Katalina Absolon, just off a USO tour, plan to bring magic and mentalism to the audience. Painter and Absolon perform at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles, CA, and have competed in the World Magic Olympics in Italy. Also featured Friday evening will be Magic Castle regular, Gregory Wilson, one of the most in-demand performers in the country, and a magician and con-man like no other.
- September 2: Magic Contest & Show - Saturday’s evening event serves as the annual competition for TAOM Senior and Junior Magicians. In addition to the competition, TAOM will welcome Naathan Phan and Robert Ramirez from the Magic Castle in Los Angeles, performing their popular “Variations on a Theme” show.
- September 3: Gala Magic Show - TAOM closes out the convention with the Sunday evening gala, bringing magicians from across the country to the stage in Frisco. Performers include veteran comedic magician, Doug Anderson; author and performer, David Charvet; creative force from Las Vegas, The Other Brothers; native North Texan, Bizzaro, and Wynn Las Vegas resident magician, Shimshi.
