Texas Monthly will present the second annual The Edge of Texas, a weekend-long celebration of the Best of Texas bringing the magazine to life through culture, cuisine, music and more.

The Edge of Texas weekend begins with a special discussion with Texas Monthly editors and acclaimed Texans followed by a kickoff celebration. Programming on Saturday, September 8 will begin at The Belo Mansion & Pavilion and consist of a day-long event bringing the magazine to life with editorial Q&As, discussions, and interactive experiences with Texas thought leaders. The finale on Saturday evening at the Empire Room will be a celebration of the best of Texas featuring top chefs, music, pop-ups, and interactive experiences.

Among the interesting Texas thought leaders participating include The Bachelorette reality TV star, Rachel Lindsay; performer & reality TV star of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Alyssa Edwards; Food Network star & chef of Knife in Dallas, John Tesar; pitmaster and restaurateur Ronnie Killen; Texas filmmakers Augustine Frizzell (Never Goin’ Back), Andrew Bujalski (Support the Girls), A.J. Edwards (Friday’s Child), and Yen Tan (1985), along with other leaders in their field.
